Designing a Frictionless Digital Ecosystem for Corporate Teams.

A comprehensive internal HRMS application tailored to modern workforce operations. Solved massive information architecture complexities by building a clean, unified interface for daily check-ins, leave tracking, multi-tier approvals, and cross-team collaboration.

The primary goal was to untangle messy multi-tier enterprise administrative portals and re-architect them into an intuitive mobile-first experience that employees actually enjoy using daily.

Context & The Core Problem

Legacy workforce administrative portals are infamous for cluttered tables, deeply nested navigation drawers, and confusing role-based permission locks. Employees often struggled with basic daily tasks like submitting attendance corrections or checking leave balances.

Managers, on the other hand, faced notification fatigue—having to sift through dozens of scattered email requests to perform simple one-click approvals. This lack of streamlined interaction directly hampered workforce productivity and employee morale.

Research & Insights

User Personas & Operational Friction

Through contextual inquiries and workflow mapping across multi-department corporate cohorts, we identified two core user segments:

1. The On-the-Go Employee

Needs immediate access to clock-in/out, log remote work shifts, and check PTO balances in under 5 seconds without digging through multi-level sidebars.

2. The Decision Lead / HR Admin

Requires batch-approval capabilities, quick team bandwidth visibility, and instant exception alerts regarding shift overlaps or policy violations.

UX Strategy

The Solution Breakdown

Instead of cramming hundreds of scattered HR features into a single viewport, we engineered a modular tab system based on priority intent—Attendance, Requests, and Directory. Micro-interactions were strategically crafted to make checking in feel fast and accurate.

Key Interaction Innovations:

  • 1-Tap Smart Punch & Geofence Verification: Context-aware home dashboard that automatically detects office network presence or remote status.
  • Batch Approval Action Center: Managers can swipe through pending expense receipts, leave requests, and shift swaps in a unified card stack.
  • Zero-Friction Leave Planner: Visual interactive calendar preview showing team bandwidth overlap before an employee submits vacation requests.

The layout uses strict typography components and semantic variables that match frontend logic. This structure saved extensive production engineering cycles and created an elite internal asset built to scale gracefully with company growth.

1. Granular Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)

UI components dynamically adjust states based on employee security level. Sensitive salary metadata, performance reviews, and administrative overrides are protected behind seamless biometric (FaceID/TouchID) validation doors.

2. Tokenized Design System & Accessibility (WCAG AA)

Built on atomic token variables (colors, elevation grids, typographic scales) that adapt seamlessly across Light/Dark themes and comply strictly with WCAG AA accessibility standards for corporate environments.
